So the ceremony is over and you're ready to bust a move on the dance floor. Your friends and family are waiting to say their hellos and congratulations, and it is time for you to share your first dance as husband and wife. I'm sure there has been much discussion on your first dance song. You were hoping for Endless Love and he was thinking Cherry Pie! Whatever you choose, make sure it is a special song for both of you. From the moment you arrive at the reception until the moment you leave, remember this is the best party you will ever throw!
Make sure to enjoy the planning, your bridesmaids will be there to help, as well as your fiancee, and your family! Take them up on their offers and keep them involved in the planning. It will make it much less stressful for you. Make sure the groom has a chat with the bestman to discuss what is and isn't ok for his speech. You don't want Grandma to have a heart attack when she hears what comes out of his mouth!
By the time you arrive at your reception everything is done. The menu has been chosen, the cake is waiting, the guests are all there, and the music is playing. All you have left to do is enjoy yourself! You will get to enjoy your first moments as husband and wife as you dance with your new spouse on the dance floor, and eat your dinner. Don't forget your family and friends. They are just as excited as you are. Make sure to get around to everyone to thank them for coming, attending a wedding is an expense for everyone, even if they didn't have to travel far.
Just remember to enjoy yourself and relax. Don't let the night pass you by, soak in each moment and remember, this is the first night of the rest of your life!
