The Basics

1. Tell us a little about your business.

I have been a photography enthusiast since high school. From time to time I have been asked to photograph weddings and other special events for friends. Over time I have really developed a passion for photography, to the point that I have gone semi-professional. My business has really started to grow. Over the past few years, I averaged 3-5 weddings a year. In 2007 I have 15 weddings, and I already have 3 bookings for 2008. My business has grown mostly by word-of-mouth and referrals. My clients have been extremely satisfied with the services that I provided for them.

2. What areas do you serve?

The Greater Baltimore area, but I have gone to Andrews Air Force Base, Gettysburg, PA and Berkley Springs W.Va to cover weddings.

3. What makes you stand out?

My packages include the couple getting a CD with all of the images on them so they can get reprints on their own without having to go back to the photographer and pay the extra overhead.

4. What price range do you fall in to?

I offer packages as low as $750 and as high as $1950. I can also customize my packages to help couples meet their budgets.

5. What is one piece of advice you have for brides in the wedding planning process?

Plan early. Don't wait to the last minute to get your vendors lined up. They are liable to charge you more than if you had contracted them much earlier in the planning process.
