The Basics

1. Tell us a little about your business.

My company is a small yet personal Wedding Photography and Environmental Portrait company. We provide professional wedding photography and portraits at your location where-ever that is.

2. What areas do you serve?

We serve all of Maryland, Virginia and South East Pennsylvania. We will also shoot in the Rehoboth Delaware areas.

3. What makes you stand out?

We provide a very personal touch. We are also budget minded. In a growing world of higher prices - we tend to remain within original budgets. We have stopped competing in the $2000+ market - as we did for years, and now fill a smaller niche in the sub-$1000 - $1500 range - finding many young couples can not afford high priced photography. Just because they cant afford a $4000 photographer doesn't mean they should only count on Uncle Harry to take a few pics.

4. What price range do you fall in to?

We used to be in the $2000 starting range. Over the last year, we dropped our prices - first time in 5 years, to a sub $1000 starting range. Our normal wedding consists of web upload, DVD, and a proof magazine or 4x6 images of EVERY image uploaded and unlimited images. If clients can afford and want more - they can purchase a la' carte.

5. What is one piece of advice you have for brides in the wedding planning process?

I find it is critical - that you and your photographer's personality will mesh. If the bride/groom does not like an overbearing of pushy salesman of a photographer - that bride/groom will never fully open up to the photographer and the photographer will never be able to capture the true raw emotion expressed that day. Likewise the same if the photographer is a push-over - your personalities must match. Also - never sign over the phone - meet the photographer. Spent time, share a coffee and scone - talk - see if this photographer is someone you could see as a friend - if so then the personality will most likely work and your images will be more expressful with true emotion.
