The Basics

1. Tell us a little about your business.

The Rob Levit Trio and Duo have been performing upscale small to medium sized weddings, receptions and events for nearly twenty years. Rob Levit has built an impeccable reputation as a "musician and business person who cares" thus making his music in demand at such Annapolis venues as the Paca House, Annapolis Waterfront Marriott, Naval Academy Alumni House, Westin, and Loews hotels. We work mostly by referral and have played many events for fans of The Rob Levit Jazz Trio over the years.

2. What areas do you serve?

Annapolis, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. Best venues for the Trio and Duo are elegant bed and breakfasts, upscale hotels, and historic homes. We are not a good fit for enormous and impersonal weddings. Often we are hired for the ceremony and cocktail hour only. We are perfect for weddings of 10-150 (maximum)

3. What makes you stand out?

Original and unique sound. The Trio and Duo are not traditional "cover" groups. Brides and grooms-to-be hire Rob Levit because they want something different, distinguished, and perhaps a little more low key than a large and loud show band. The Trio is known for its unique set lists, accessibility, and venue-appropriate sound. Perhaps a bit old-fashioned in the attitude that the focus of events should be friends and family and not a loud show band. We are happy to accommodate first dances and other requests.

4. What price range do you fall in to?

$1500-$2500

5. What is one piece of advice you have for brides in the wedding planning process?

Do not try to control so many details of your big day so that you can't relax when it finally arrives! If you hire the best referenced and most experienced vendors and plan solidly with then you have nothing to worry about. I have seen too many weddings where each moment is so scripted that no one has any fun! A wedding is of course for the bride and groom but it is also a wonderful time to second time with family and friends. Make sure you maximize that time so that you can look back and realize that your family and friends had a great time. The positive energy on your wedding day will last a lifetime!
