1. Tell us a little about your business.
I started my calligraphy business Ink and Annie Calligraphy two years ago. I took private lessons from Pat Blair the manager of the White House calligraphy department. I had my pen carved by Michael Sull a international calligrapher that wrote for hallmark for eight years. Pat was also Dick Chaney's private calligrapher.
2. What areas do you serve?
I can serve any area in the United States because of the postal services.
3. What makes you stand out?
I offer personal service, timely, and a quality product.
4. What price range do you fall in to?
I am probaly one of the more affordable calligraphers. for a set of invitation envelopes, outside and inside I charge $1.50 a set. For outside envelopes I charge $1.00 and placecards I charge $0.50.
5. What is one piece of advice you have for brides in the wedding planning process?
The invitation is the first clue your guests receive to tell them how special you have planned the event they are invited to. By using calligraphy for the envelope it will make your guest either want to attend if they were not considering it or if they are unable to attend will respond with a generous gift because of the presentation of the invitation. the best advise i can give a bride is, even if you do not choose calligraphy please hand write the addresses. this is the most personal invitation you will do and it should never be prepared by a computer. Happy Wedding!
