The Basics

1. Tell us a little about your business.

After working as a designer for a well known florist shop in Howard County for 8 years in 2002, I decided to go on my own. My business is called Flowers From The Heart. I work out of my home and specalize in weddings, parties, and events. I also teach flower arranging classes.

2. What areas do you serve?

I have done weddings in Howard, Baltimore, Carroll, and Montgomery Counties.

3. What makes you stand out?

What makes me stand out is the personal attention I give to each order. I only do one wedding on a weekend and I give it my full attention. My prices also tend to be about 20% lower than other florists since I don't have the overhead of a shop.

4. What price range do you fall in to?

I have done weddings from $500 to $2000. I can work with any budget. For large weddings, I have a staff to assist me.

5. What is one piece of advice you have for brides in the wedding planning process?

As far as advice, I wouls say relax and enjoy the process. On your wedding day, don't stress about details - just enjoy your guests and enjoy the day.
