The Basics

1. Tell us a little about your business.

David's was opened in 1973 by David and Evie Cohen - two top stylists whose love for their profession led them to open their doors and hearts to their clientele. "Welcome to Our Home" was their motto, and that has never changed. The clients that first walked through their door 34 years ago are still part of the David's family, a family that grows with each new day.

One of the larger salons in the area, David's is not only staffed with the most talented stylists, but the facility is equipped with the latest and hottest technology and styling products. The salon is divided into two large rooms - one for chic designer cuts, and one for custom colors to fit every taste. The color room also boasts a specialized ventilation system to protect the health of clients and stylists, and free wireless internet is available throughout the salon.

Education is a top priority at this unique salon, and classes are an ongoing way of life. Always on the cutting edge of fashion, the stylists of David's travel all over the US as well as to Europe and other parts of the world to bring the latest looks back to their loyal clients.

2. What areas do you serve?

We serve the Washington, Virginia and Maryland area.

3. What makes you stand out?

David's is recognized as a leader by Intercoiffure, an international organization of top salons for its achievements in the industry. Being named "Top Salon" by Washingtonian Magazine for the past 13 years, "Top Colour Salon" by 101 Hairstyles Magazine, and one of the top 200 salons of America by American Salon magazine is just the tip of the iceberg for this dynamic group of stylists and colorists. Additional Washingtonian magazine accolades include 'Best Salon', 'Best Evening Styles', 'Best Color Salon', 'Best Extensions Salon', and 'Best Thermal Relaxers'.

4. What price range do you fall in to?

Our price range is from $75 - $125 for the bride but we definately feel you should get a free consultation as far before as possible to maximize what we want to do and when. We also have a traveling service for 1/2 day or a full day.

5. What is one piece of advice you have for brides in the planning process?

Please do all you can before the wedding and then just enjoy your day and the party.
