1. Tell us a little about your business.
We are located in Taneytown, Maryland. We have 40 luxurious rooms and suites situated on a 25 acre estate built in 1844. We have an award winning restaurant, with Chef Michael Gettier. We have a formal rose garden or gazebo area for ceremonies. Our Ballroom accommodates up to 250 guests for a seated meal or we can tent our croquet lawn for events up to 400.
2. What areas do you serve?
Washington, Baltimore, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and many, many destination weddings.
3. What makes you stand out?
We offer an amazing array of menu’s for our wedding clients. From a combination Venison chop paired with a quail stuffed filled with Boursin, sun dried tomatoes to a Poussin filled with Lump Crab. We also not only offer unlimited planning time, our event planners are also here the day of prior to the bride’s arrival until they leave the ballroom at the end of their wedding.
4. What price range do you fall in to?
Rehearsal dinners from 47.50 to 68.50 per person to weddings and events from 75.00 to 125.00 per person.
5. What is one piece of advice you have for brides in the wedding planning process?
Be wary of anyone who might tell you that there will be no stress during the planning process. What is most important is you choose a location that offers you as many services as possible. That way the stress level can be tolerable and planning can be fun! (Which is the way it is supposed to be)
