The Basics

1. Tell us a little about your business.

Gilah Press + Design specializes in custom designed letterpress invitations and wedding stationery. We are a small company based in Baltimore city, where we work from our big pink industrial style warehouse. We have a studio cat named Pica.

2. What areas do you serve?

Maryland, DC, Philadelphia and New York, though we can really work with couples from anywhere via phone, email and fedex.

3. What makes you stand out?

Rather than just picking a design out of a book, we like to talk with our clients to find out a bit about who they are and what their wedding is going to be like so that we can come up with a perfectly designed stationery suite for them. Once we’ve established your invitation package, we print everything in house on our Chandler & Price letterpress from the late 1800s. This gives a luscious, classic finish to your stationery.

4. What price range do you fall into?

custom design: $1500-$5000
existing design: $800-2500

5. What is one piece of advice you have for brides in the wedding planning process?

Enjoy each other. Every step of the way. Keep in mind what all of the hoopla is really about.
